The Verdigris Police Department, led by Police Chief Jack Shackelford, serves the community by protecting citizens and property, preventing crime, enforcing laws, and maintaining order. The department's main goal is to contribute to the quality of life and preservation of the peace in Verdigris.

The Verdigris Police Department Officers cover the residential and commercial areas within Verdigris city limits and responds to nearby calls in the surrounding area as needed.  They also have a K-9 unit assisted by K-9 Officer "Kilo," the department's highly trained Belgium Malinois canine officer.

The Verdigris Police Department strives to create and maintain a safe and secure community for all citizens living in or traveling through the Verdigris area. They accomplish this goal through regular patrol and enforcement of the law and efficient, thorough investigations of crimes committed.

The Verdigris Police office is open 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, and closed all federal holidays. 

 

Verdigris Traffic Court occurs the 2nd Thursday of each month with Juvenile Court starting at 3:45 pm and regular court beginning at 3:00 pm.

Fines can be paid to the Court Clerk, Kari Williams, at the Verdigris Police Office during regular office hours, online using the Verdigris Police Online Payment Form,  or at court.   For questions on making payments, go to our Online Payments page or call our office at (918) 266-0200.
